Baku Street Photo Festival invites you to the talk and presentation of exclusive books by a talented photographer Ilkin Yagubov: “Square” (2014), “Reflection of self” (2018) and “Looking into the sky” (2019).
Ilkin Yagubov’s visual thinking is that of a graphic artist. He purposely chooses black and white and film that gives a grainy effect (visual noise). So that nothing prevents us from concentrating our attention on the most important thing – the atmosphere of the image, the depth of the space, the strange metaphysics of the cold yet majestic in their neutrality empty landscapes.
Ilkin Yagubov (b. 1977, Baku) graduated from State University of Culture and Art and worked in a managerial position for a number of years Hyatt Hotels (Baku). From 2006 till 2020, he has worked as an Assistant Manager in Residential Services Department.
